Detailed ... is one way to describe my photography. My desire to capture the poignent moments as only a photojournalist can helps me to focus on the details that make each wedding and each person so special.
Native ... is the best way to describe my relationship with Kansas -- I was born and raised right here in the Sunflower State.
Kansas, Michigan and Colorado ... are all places I've worked as a newspaper photojournalist. During a three and a half year stint at the Topeka Capital-Journal I photographed politicians, professional sports and everyday life. My photographs of the 2002 Kansas State University football season were compiled into a coffee table book in 2003.
President George W. Bush ... is one of the most prominent world leaders I've photographed -- three times.
Invaluable ... is how I feel about mentoring my "little brother." I continue to remain involved in his life because I believe it is important to be a positive role model for the youth of today.
Education ... is something I advocate for young photographers. This belief led me to participate and be published in "Visual Converstaions: Pictures of the Year 2005." I also believe in continuing education for professionals. In 2003, I had the honor to participate in the elite Eddie Adams workshop.
Maddie ... is my daughter's name. My wife, Angie, and I welcomed our daughter into our family on Christmas Eve 2008. We couldn't have asked for a better gift.
Harley ... is our "oldest child" (even though she's a dog!). She loves being "big sister" to Miss Maddie.
